Mandies bean dip (experiment)

I have been trying to eat beans everyday. They are suppossed to help with morning sickness. A friend helped me come up with this idea. Yet another way to get some beans in me so I can feel better. And yes I am dealing with some flatulence, But that sure beats being nauseous 24/7. lol So this is it, and even my kids loved it.
2 cans drained kidney beans
2 tsp dried minced onions
1 tsp salt
1/4 to 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (depending on how hot you like it)
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp cumin.
1 cup mild salsa
Put all this in a food processor cut/mix up untill it looks like refried beans. Serve warm with cheese melted over it with any kind of taco toppings. Scoop up with tortilla chips. Yummy.

It helps mellow out the morning sickness for 3 to 5 hours, depending on how much you eat. This lady explains very well how beans help, if you wanted to know. :)

Answer to prayer

I have had a rough couple of weeks. I mentioned that we are expecting another baby, in one of my previous posts. Well I am in the hardest phase of pregnancy for me. I have been trying so hard to just wait on the Lord and trust him to get me through one day at a time. I have been soo sick, not the kind that makes you hover over the porcelain bowl, but the kind that makes you want to. In hopes that it might help. Yesterday it was soo bad that I had to keep laying down every few minutes just to keep things down. Blaa!  As I'm laying there, thinking about how yucky I feel and wondering when I will be better again. The Lord reveales to me that he cares about how miserable I am. It accured to me that My heavenly Father is in charge of all things, why do I have to feel this way when He's right there just waiting for me to ask Him to help. So I asked the Lord to help make my morning sickness not sooo bad , and also for the health of the little one growing within me. Then I went through the rest on my day, not feeling  much different. Well today I wake up feeling soo much better. I am still slightly nauseous but nothing compared to the last few weeks. Thank you Lord for your mercy.
Now I am hoping to catch up on some things around here so my house can look like a home again and not a tornado zone. LOL

SNAKE!

Well today was yet another very exciting day in the world of critter adventure. Dude (#1) came running in the house all excited with blood dripping from his hand. "WHAT HAPPENED"???? I ask. "I found another blue racer." Was his reply. "I need a bandaid" he says. "WHY "? I ask still shocked at the blood, and wondering why he is worried about a snake while he's bleeding. "Well because he bit me". Was his reply. "Thats why your bleeding"!?!? I ask. Go in the bathroom and wash that with hot water and soap. Then come out here and we'll get some triple antibiotic on it. Who knows what kind of cooties a snake carries. Blaaa!!! Then came little miss (#2). "I got bit too" she says. Great!! Now she is forever going to scared of snakes. I send her into was her hands too. Then I take a look at her hand. Well, she's not bleeding. Thats good! Then I hear her say "You comming Dude?" "Where are you headed now?"I ask. "Back out to catch our snake" They reply. "So you both got bit and you didn't learn a lesson out of the deal?" (Blank Stares) "I tell you what, you go mess with that snake again your gunna get bit by your mamma" If you catch my drift. LOL

Our Quiver Full

This is a picture of our Children from last fall. I know, that was forever ago. It is soo hard to get a good photo with all of them looking in the right direction. Most of them are even smiling. That is a rare occurrernce. I have be trying to decide if I should share pictures of my children with you. I decided that I would but I am going to nickname them for their safety. Our oldest is our only son, he is going to be eight this summer. He is very smart. He loves adventure and loves clothes and is very particular about his hair. He calles his buddies dude. They also call him dude, so I'll call him dude. Our second child is the dark haired girl in the middle. She is six years old. She can be very shy. She has very feminine features, and personality. She does know how to play rough and get dirty, but for the most part she is our girly girl. She is our only child that has freckles. She is going to be called Little Miss. Our third child is the one on the far right. She is almost five. She loves everyone and loves all animals. She is almost always smiling. She gets her feelings hurt very eaisy but is also very quick to forgive. She sparkles everytime she smiles. I'll call her sparkles. And last but not least. Is our baby girl. She is almost 2. She is very full of spunk. The good kind that makes me smile everday. She is very smart, she talks very clear for her age and loves to run and play with the big kids. I'll call her squirt. Also we are expecting in December. All the kids are praying for a little brother. I am just praying for a healthy happy baby. We had a horrible miscarriage back in September. I was almost 22 weeks along. After you go through something like that you don't care what the sex of your baby is, you just pray for health for your baby and yourself. I know my baby is with the Lord and is being taken care of. The Lord has restored my joy and has blessed me with another pregnancy. Looking forward to getting to know this new little one.

Blaa kind of day

Well today was one of those rough days where things just seem to go bad all day long. I was very tired and so I had very little motivation today. Not even Coffee could make this better. My children and I were planning on a park day today with some friends but the weather wouldn't cooperate. Bummer! So all day long I hear "mom can we please go to the park?" So in turn I had to deal with bad attitudes from my two older children all day. It got so bad I had to take drastic measures. "OK" I said, "Mommy is Done" You are both going to do chores untill your attitudes get better. So They worked for about 45 minutes. After that they were great. Is that a bad idea. I want my children to like to work. I don't want it to be a punishment. I want them to be willing to step in and lend a hand where needed. Yet when Adam and Eve sinned their punishment was work and harships in their lives, along with everone who follows in their footsteps. So let me know what you think. What works for your family when your kids seem to be driving each other crazy all day.

Jesus looks out for us

I recieved a very scary phone call this afternoon. I found out a friend of a friend's little boy had come up missing. The kids were all playing outside and their mom had went inside to get some lunch together. She came out a little bit later and realized someone was missing. There almost 3 year old little boy. So she went looking for him. Soon she realized that she couldn't find him. She called her husband and he came home with a friend to help look. Before long they realized that they needed to call the sheriffs department and get more help. Meanwhile many of her friends are contacting churches and other believers to help look and pray. They looked for three hours before he was found. Can you imagine? My heart goes out to her. That would be so scary. Praise Jesus he was found. Safe, barefoot and with just a few bug bites. Thank you Jesus for looking out for us, and for keeping him safe.

Who's Jack?

Well today my children came racing into the house with a huge frog from our pond that is right in our back yard. "Mom, mom, we found Jack!" "Who's Jack?" I ask, not having heard my children ever refer to a Jack. "It's our frog that we lost last week." Was their reply.  "Mom, we KNOW it's Jack because he has a hurt toe and Jack was our frog with a hurt toe."
My children Love bugs, snakes, spiders, frogs, salamanders, any creepy thing that they can find. They are constantly sneaking criters into my house and  I'm shooing them back out with them. My life is soo crazy, but I love every minute of it. Thus, my chaotic life. I'd never make it without my coffee.
